Tyler Trahan, a well known student athlete from Freetown, Massachusetts who went into the Navy as an enlisted man and quickly demonstrated greatness. His superiors could see right away that this recruit was special. Tyler went on to become a Navy SEAL and was even offered a spot at Annapolis, the Naval Academy. This rising star in the military was killed fighting for freedom in far away Iraq on Thursday April 30.

Gary Gomes is a familiar name in New Bedford. Once his name was implicated in the double murder on Tuesday January 6th, I knew the name was familiar and in a negative way. *Oh yeah. He is the nut who tried running over a man in his car (he did hit him with it) and dragged the guy's wife into the woods to strangle her back on July 4th, 2006. So what the blankity-blank was he doing on the streets a free man in December of 2008?
