Iraq war costs too much

As I write this column, the cost of the Iraq War is about $439 billion. By the time we reach the five year mark, we will have spent $500 billion. We can debate the "surge," the reasons for the war, if it is indeed a civil war, but we can’t debate the costs. The billions of dollars spent is set down in black and white in the budget, and the various war supplemental funding bills have been passed by Congress and signed into law by the president

Are we winning and who is "We"? Liberal media icon Ted Turner says he doesn't yet know if he is with us or the enemy. There are two Americas and no, I don't mean North and South. I mean patriotic nationalists and self loathing globalists.
It usually falls on Left and Right but there are exceptions here. Since the attacks on September 11, 2001 there have been many dramatic and well documented actions and writings by Americans. Unfortunately, New Bedford has been on the wrong side of the war in the loudest examples.
