The NY Giants have had a great run but against a benign offense in Tampa Bay and against a team on a late season slide, banged up and not playing well in recent weeks; Dallas. The NFC East rivalry between the two is always a good one and the home team didn't enjoy an advantage over a team that is now 9-1 on the road, 8-0 in the last 8.

I think Green Bay is an altogether different situation though. Green Bay is playing their best football and is now playing with something they didn't have when they trounced the Giants at Giant's Stadium 35-13 Week 2. The Packers have established a balanced attack with an emerging running game to compliment Brett Favre's air attack. In one of the quietest 13-3 seasons in NFL history, the Packers are among the best defensive units in most catagories and the special teams are just as scary.

The Patriots, favored by 13 1/2, remember everything uttered about them after the San Diego AFC divisional playoff game last year. Tomlinson and co. lost at home and showed poor taste (and judgement) in the remarks soon after. The "revenge" game which took place Week 2 in Foxboro almost sent the Chargers spiraling out of control for the 2007 season as they again lost to NE 38-14.

Give them credit for winning their last eight games but with a hurting Antonio Gates to grab first downs and touch downs, the odds incline for SD as they enter Gillette Stadium against a well rested and uber-talented Patriots team. Phillip Rivers and Ladanian Tomlinson will likely play but both were unable to finish the game last week in Indianapolis due to injuries. Give them mega-credit if they do but I cannot see the Chargers walking away from Foxboro with a smile tomorrow.
