A Call to Prayer

As a member of the Fellowship of Christians and Jews, I found this e-mail particularly fascinating and quite possibly a turning point in the political ideology of Jewish people. I don't send it to you as an advertisement for the purpose for which it was sent to me, but as a vital implication from our Jewish friends that we must all fight back swiftly, precisely and unapologetically against the wave of secularism that's attempting to drown out our Judeo-Christian culture. At our last State Committee meeting, a leading chairwoman stood up and told us about the recent creation of a Jewish Republican women's organization (can't remember the name, but I'll find it). They held a meeting in Washington recently that was also attended by all of the wives of Republican candidates for the presidency along with Laura Bush. I'm not as impressed with these women's attendance as I am with the fact that a newly formed Republican organization has been created by Jewish women. Apparently the idea that the Democrat Party has been "high-jacked by the Left" is longer being viewed as an excuse for the horrendous criticism against Christians, Jews and Israel in general that's coming from leaders in the Democrat Party. We can only hope. The message in this e-mail pulls no punches, and as Christians and Catholics, neither should we. We need to pay attention. We can no longer enjoy the luxury of sitting back and letting someone else "take care of it". The secular Left is on a mission. They won't give up. We'd better prepare ourselves for the fight.
God Bless,
State Republican Committeewoman

Linda, what is the "horrendous criticism" against Israel that's coming from leaders in the Democrat Party?

Ask any Democrat in Congress what their position is concerning the Israeli/Palestinian situation and you'll have your answer.

Thats copious proof indeed.

Indeed. If it's "copious proof" you're looking for, I'd say the sudden creation of Republican organizations by Jewish voters is pretty manifest, wouldn't you?

First, please learn the difference between Jews and Zionists. The former is a race, the other is a geopolitical philosophy. One must not be Jewish (or republican) to support Zionism; one must not be a democrat to oppose Zionism. There are, in fact, a great many JEWS who oppose Zionism.
The GOP is in shambles, both in Massachusetts and nationally. 'Prayer' isn't going to help get you out of this rut anymore than it helped to outlaw same sex marriage. Conservatives would be wise (ha!) to honestly reflect on why the public is no longer interested in buying their message and then adjust their tone accordingly in order to regain some political relevancy. Or you could just 'stay the course' with those daily radio gripefests! Ya, that's working real well.

Linda, you have slandered Democrats and cannot find any proof that they are less zionist than the GOP.

For those who've been living on planet Neptune for the last 3 years with "abu" and "sands", I'll force myself to waste even more time on this. "Slander" by its very definition is a "misrepresentation". The fact that far too many Democrats have lurched to the left dragging their party along with them, has nothing whatsoever to do with GOP perceived "shambles" or "talk radio". (Actually, abu, it's working quite well, thank you for asking.) I never said there were no Republicans who were anti-Israel. They just haven't discovered yet that they're in the wrong party. What I stated, truthfully and simply, was that a new phenomenom was appearing in politics. Jewish Republican organizations were being created, and that the reason for this wasn't a secret. Many Jews, (not all), who were former Democrats have decided that their best interests, including their own survival, no longer reside in the Democrat Party. To deny that the new revised Democrat Party has been hyjacked by leftist loons, race pimps and anti-Semites is to admit to a mental disease. Let's see, do I have time for this... umm, okay... remember Ned Lamont, the Democrat's hero in the 2006 Connecticut Senate election? If you do, you may recall the vile propaganda posted on his behalf on Moveon.org, referring to Joe Lieberman as "Jew Leiberman" and "ZioNazi Lieberman". If you haven't joined the rest of the Democrat Party gathering at this site you've probably missed all its anti-Semitic slurs against Israel and Jewish Americans that appear regularly along with the belittlements of the Holocaust. But let's skip all that (as well as Media Matters and the Huffington Post and the "new brownshirts" who have taken over just about every leading college campus in the country - let's see... who do all those people campaign and vote for in every single solitary election?) and let's go directly to a Democrat who actually ran for president once, like Wesley Clark, who called our support of Israel in its war against the terrorist organization, Hezbollah, a "serious mistake" in an embarressing, albeit revealing, speech at the University of Alabama in 2006. Quick Question: Who said, " I marveled at the Hezbollah resistance to Israel... It was a marvel of organization, of courage and bravery." Some Nazi holdover? Nope. That gem came from former Democrat U.S Senator James Abourezk of So. Dakota. And we couldn't leave out Democrat Hillary Clinton's main cheerleader and fund-raiser, George Soros, the Jew who worked with the Nazis to turn in his own, and who is admittedly an anti-Israel Democrat chief funder of 527's and many other Democrat Party organizations. He's also the principle backer of Human Rights Watch which has been notoriously anti-Israel. Soros also alleged that Israel was partially responsible for the rise of anti-Semitic violence in Europe. It's the old "blame-game" again. (He had a good teacher. Wonder who he'll be voting for in '08.) And who could leave out former Democrat president and chief ass-kisser for communist dictators, Jimmy Carter? Who could forget his best-seller (among his fans), "Palestine: Peace, Not Apartheid" Ol' Jimma actually clinched it for many Jewish Democrats as they headed for door. If "abu" and "sands" want to argue over Jewish ladies' political organizations and the reasons behind anti-Semitism and Zionism, go for it. My eyes are glazing over. That type of loathing may masquerade as "anti-Zionism" or "legitimate" criticism of Israel, but it is what it is, and to pretend that most of it isn't coming from the "new and improved Democrat Party" is to be in a state of denial. It's your Party and you can cry if you want to. We'll let ya.
Comment #8 (Posted by Ron Paul, REPUBLICAN)
“Those who constantly preach global government and democracy ought to consider the outcome of their philosophy in a hypothetical Mid-East regional government. If these people were asked which country in this region possesses weapons of mass destruction, has a policy of oppressive occupation, and constantly defies UN Security council resolutions, the vast majority would overwhelmingly name Israel. Is this ludicrous?"
“Bin Laden’s claims are straightforward. The U.S. defiles Islam with military bases on holy land in Saudi Arabia, its initiation of war against Iraq, with 12 years of persistent bombing, and its dollars and weapons being used against the Palestinians as the Palestinian territory shrinks and Israel’s occupation expands. There will be no peace in the world for the next 50 years or longer if we refuse to believe why those who are attacking us do it.”

As I stated previously (wow, liberals really DO think history began yesterday), there are Republicans who haven't figured out yet that they're in the wrong party. More Democrats believe in what Ron Paul says than Republicans do. I'm a Christian who believes that God blesses those who bless the Jewish people. Period. You don't believe it, fine. Suit yourself. If the "sands & abu" club have to post quotes by a Republican presidential candidate in order to try to demonstrate the validity of their own like-minded anti-Semitic ideology, then I rest my case. Anyone who believes in the moral relativism of all governments in the Middle East is a kook. And anyone who believes that the "threat" in the Middle East is coming from a democracy that's been reduced to 9 miles wide at its widest point through compromise with fascist regimes intent on driving it into the sea, is breathtakingly stupid. And anyone who believes that the danger in the Middle East is coming from a country whose citizens are threatened publicly and daily with annihilation while being regularly referred to as "descendents of apes and pigs", is hopelessly lost in a thought process that is pitifully disfunctional. The "abu & sands" club needs to stop hiding behind the quotes of people who shill for the enemy, and come right out with it: They hate Jews. They're to blame for everything, and we shouldn't do anything to protect them. They should just disappear. Hey wait! That sounds familiar. Where have I heard that before? (And they call conservatives hate-mongers. Go figure.)
