While the mainstream media lunges to spread the news of any archeological find when it comes to fossils, Don't expect them to put any light on perhaps the greatest discovery for Christianity in a century or more.

Pope Benedict XVI has declared that the bones in the tomb of Paul were believed to be the apostle's through Christian tradition but not through scientific investigation until last week. LINK

In 1992 a relatively important find was made outside of Jerusalem when scientists discovered the grave of who is overwhelmingly likely to be the the son of the high Hebrew Priest Caiaphas who forced Pontius Pilate to try Jesus Christ.

Until then, there was no physical evidence outside of early second century writings that biblical figures in the New Testament even existed.

What is somewhat amusing is the rush to state things like "Darwin's theory is solved." It seems that secular science prefers to sprint to conclusions and abandon scientific investigation which is designed to be patient and methodical. Now Global Warming, Homosexual Neurosis and other modern debates follow the lead of Darwinists with reckless speed to or, more specifically, for their conclusions.

Every year or so a wild leap of faith in carbon dating shows that, like this year's find, a 47 million year old fossil may be the "link" that all secular, evolutionary enthusiasts have been searching for.

When specific remains of a holy figure such as Paul provide much more accurate evidence, there is usually a snubbing by the scientific community that has decided atheism is a safer road to credibility than the irrational claims within the community of faith.

The unexplainable phenomenon like those of Saint Bernadette Soubirous of Lourdes, France or the exhumed and shocking conditions of Jacinta Martos one of the children of Fatima, Portugal, the Eucharist of Lanciano, Italy and other amazing phenomona that is prolific within the Catholic and other ancient Christian churches, should be amazing scientific debate.

Instead, there is usually a quiet dismissal and a quick belittling of these artifacts waiting to be challenged but go without.

I'm thinking the headlines tonight on NBC with Katie Couric will go something like this; "Paul who? But hey, did you hear about that 47 million year old ancestor to the monkey?"
