A labor activist--with a lengthy history of successful civil litigation, (6-0), against the various "Ma Bell" offshoots. Licenced charter boat Capt. actively studying Radical Islam for over 20 years.
I am an unapologetic critic of Islam & feel reform within that religion is key to ultimate victory.
It's June 6th the 63rd anniversary of D-Day and I can't help but think how the world would be a different place today if not for the courage of thousands of men who braved icy water, strong currents, and a wall of steel as they stormed fortress Europe, in their quest to open up yet another front in the War..
Note to Brian Glyn Williams--- Contrary to his reporting in the Standard Times from Afghanistan.. Apparently in the 40's our military could fight on more than one front at a time..
They died by the thousands that day.. Not in 2's, 3's, or 8's like we, (The American Public), have grown so weary of in Iraq, by the thousands, and the invasion was considered a monumental success..
But the victories in June were tempered in the chilled air of December.. Along a 200 mile front the Germans mustered up a counter attack in the Ardennes Forest, this offensive became known as "the battle of the bulge".. History, as well as several books and films have recorded the outcome for posterity..
But.. How would America of 1944 reacted if the entire 101st Airborne Unit had been wiped out that Christmas in Bastogne?
I dare say a cry of "Remember the 101st" would have been on the lips of the men Drafted to avenge our loss..
In contrast today's politicians or Presidential wanna bees, playing to the sympathies of the bereaved, would have declared that France had been pretty well cleared of Nazi's, and then proceed to claim our only intent was to free France, declare victory with honor, and call our troops home..
Politicians today seek to score points by taking advantage of the uninformed.. They seek to capitalize on your ignorance of Islam rather than stand up and tell the American public the ugly truth about the Global War on Islamo-Fascism.. (Before you become indignant with me.. be honest with yourselves.. How many of you readers have ever picked up a Koran? know what Hadith is? or know that the term Shariah Law is redundant?)..
Through a climate of Political Correctness, American politicians have been able to mask and obscure the face of our enemy.. They would like you to believe that GW Bush has done a bad job because there has been no grand moment of finality like the peace treaty signed on the Missouri in Tokyo Bay.. In this war there won't be any such moment..
This is an ideological war at its heart.. Generations (at this rate at least 2 more I fear), will be fighting this ideology of misogynistic bigotry.. A look at the curriculum in the kindergartens of Palestine should prove my point..
When 5 year olds (Boys & Girls) are taught that the greatest glory this world has to offer is killing the infidels where ever you find them, you know there can be no quick victory..
The Jihadist ideology, best espoused by bin-Laden himself when he said
"We (Muslims) value death the way you (Judeo-Christian westerners) value life" , is what we are fighting..

During a recent symposium on the threat posed by Islamic Jihad, Professor John Lewis pointed to the similarity between the ideology that drives Islamic Jihad and that of Japanese Shinto-ism..
The Japanese, in actuality, are the only frame of reference we, as a nation, have in confronting an enemy so blinded by their beliefs (Shinto-ism was a fanaticism far greater than that of the Nazi's ).. The Japanese would rather have been killed to the last man than surrender to the Americans & in battle after battle in the South Pacific that is exactly what they did..
It was this mindset of willing nihilism that led Harry Truman, (apparently the last of dying breed), to conclude that the A-Bomb was our most prudent route to victory..

Now today we find ourselves confronted by an enemy with equal if not greater resolve.. The major difference is this enemy is not loyal to a divine emperor, but a God.. Remember an emperor, even a divine one, can admit defeat is inevitable.. God's rarely do..
Victory in this war will be achieved when the first generation of Muslim children is born and not summarily indoctrinated into believing the greatest glory in life is becoming an Islamikazee/Shaheed..

And you hope to achieve this "victory" by having American forces unilaterally occupying their countries, kidnapping, torturing and killing their families, destroying their infrastructure and farming out their natural resources to private companies -- all based on bogus intel and baseless conspiracy theories? Great plan, man!
It takes more than pseudo-macho posturing, drawing irrelevant WW2 analogies, and parroting a few Arab phrases to form a rational, realistic foreign policy, pal.
