Only a few weeks ago Senator Obama was scoffing at Hillary Clinton's assertion that his words were not important.  You remember his "Just words" speech, plagiarizing  Massachusetts Governor Patrick? Well now he has got to convince people that Hillary was right that words shouldn't mean anything. Especially rev. Jeremiah Wright's words.

Senator Obama coming undone
Flashback; Hillary Clinton has just lost Super Tuesday and is insisting  that people understand Senator Obama has no substantive record to stand by and is relying on nothing more than words. Just Words? Barack Obama took the opportunity to preach on the value and importance of words. Quoting the greatest segments from the greatest speeches in American history, an idea he clumsily borrowed from Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, even parroting the phrases themselves as Patrick used them last year. Now with his foot in his mouth after smugly lauding the importance of words, Senator Obama has done a complete 180 degree turnabout and is demanding that people not put too much emphasis on words. This philosophical switch is of course due to the ugly and venomous rhetoric by Senator Obama's pastor and spiritual mentor Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
Wright has proven to me that he is not teaching the love of Christ but the hatred of whites. All of them.

Several problems develop for Obama now that Rev. Wright has been exposed and has been credited by Obama as being his spiritual mentor for the last twenty years. Mr. Obama has insisted that he is a Christian and not a Muslim as his name infers. He has stated that he belongs to Rev. Wright's church and has for over twenty years. OK so is it coincidence that Mr. Obama has not once been present to hear the vitriolic rants from this "Christian" pastor? If he wasn't present on all of those given Sundays then where was he? At home? At a Mosque? Has he cornered himself?

"This is as openly radical a background as any significant American political figure has ever emerged from, as much Malcolm X as Martin Luther King Jr. Wright is not an incidental figure in Obama's life, or his politics. The senator "affirmed" his Christian faith in this church; he uses Wright as a "sounding board" to "make sure I'm not losing myself in the hype and hoopla." Both the title of Obama's second book, The Audacity of Hope, and the theme for his keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in 2004 come from Wright's sermons. "If you want to understand where Barack gets his feeling and rhetoric from," says the Rev. Jim Wallis, a leader of the religious left, "just look at Jeremiah Wright."

Obama wasn't born into Wright's world. His parents were atheists, an African bureaucrat and a white grad student, Jerry Falwell's nightmare vision of secular liberals come to life. Obama could have picked any church — the spare, spiritual places in Hyde Park, the awesome pomp and procession of the cathedrals downtown. He could have picked a mosque, for that matter, or even a synagogue. Obama chose Trinity United. He picked Jeremiah Wright. Obama writes in his autobiography that on the day he chose this church, he felt the spirit of black memory and history moving through Wright, and "felt for the first time how that spirit carried within it, nascent, incomplete, the possibility of moving beyond our narrow dreams." -
Rolling Stone Magazine  article titled Destiny's Child

We cannot judge someone without walking in their shoes etc. but we can accumulate what we have been shown by the candidate and his inner circle and for me, I am increasingly concerned;
1) He refuses to wear an American flag on his suits. * He says this is based on refusing to take part in "fake patriotism or faux support". If this is his philosophy then why has one Barack Obama pin or bumper sticker ever been printed?!
2) He is observed at ceremonies with his hand by his side not over his heart during the national anthem.
3) His wife has become proud of her nation of America for the first time in January of 2008
4) His pastor and spiritual mentor doesn't want God to bless America but to damn her instead.

Yesterday, as Senator Obama tried to cool the heated nation still reeling from the Youtube videos and soundbites on talk radio, he refused to disown Rev. Wright but did agree that his utterances were inflammatory. However I have strong doubts as to the frankness Barack was willing to offer, "Not once in my conversations with him have I heard him talk about any ethnic group in derogatory terms, or treat whites with whom he interacted with anything but courtesy and respect." - Senator Obama

The man that wants America to trust him, must trust them with the truth. Surely this intelligent man realizes how hard credibility is to build for a politician...and how easy it is to lose it.
