A former Mass GOP director at his Pentagon position is under investigation by the Inspector General for allegedly slandering U.S. Senate candidate Jeff Beatty's military record. The current Massachusetts State Committee chairman Peter Torkildsen is stacking the deck against Beatty and Ron Kaufman is allegedly behind most of it.

Why is anyone impressed with Kaufman and Torkildsen?

6 - 190 Is the current record. No, not for the Washington Generals, it's the record for the Massachusetts State Republican Party leadership under the current executive team. Six (6) wins and One-Hundred and ninety (190) losses in recent elections across Massachusetts and the six victories were returning incumbents. MIAA Division 4 football coaches are removed if they go 2-8, nevermind 1-30 six years in a row. The Washington Generals record may indeed be worse but they had acknowledged pre-arranged losses to the Harlem Globetrotters. What is the Mass GOP excuse? Perhaps there isn't one. According to my confidential sources currently on the Massachusetts State Committee, pre-arranged cupcake walks for Democrats in elections are the explanation.

In a place where Democrats rule and Republicans drool, The Bay State is in dire need for legitimate campaign finances here but the men behind the "Red" curtain apparently don't see it that way. Massachusetts State Republican Committee spent millions of dollars on parties, dinners, hotel rooms, insider consultants, office rentals, printing, parking and other expenses and also sent lots and lots of $$ to out of state PACs but would GOP donors in Massachusetts be happy to know that roughly only $36,000 was spent on Massachusetts candidates?

Isn't it interesting that Jeff Beatty showed up last Monday at the Massachusetts State Committee Meeting  (Orientation for New Members) and was informed that State Chairman Peter Torkildsen said that no material could be handed out at the conference but allowed Jim Ogonowski to hand out his congressional campaign pamphlets and materials at the last state committee meeting last Fall? It's equally as interesting that the Mass GOP executive branch has hand picked Jim Ogonowski campaign workers to fill in vacant seats.

What is happening is bizarre. Mass Republican brass constantly boost awareness of Ogonowski to the media and hide Beatty's campaign. Its kind of like how Cinderella's step-mother tried to push one of the less attractive step-sisters onto the prince and hid Cinderella from his eyes. The fact is though that there are two viable candidates running in the Republican primary and the powers within are unable to explain why Beatty isn't even getting due respect or anything close to a deserved neutrality from the executives of the party.

Angry conservatives within the Mass GOP are fed up and some are even offering wild accusations that Ron Kaufman is throwing the senate race in an agreement with Senator John Kerry in order to have his lobbyist access to the next President of the United States. Should a Democrat win the election, it is not impossible that Kerry would be able to make some arrangements to help Kaufman continue to have the president's ear. The deal is alleged to be: Keep Beatty from the nomination and you get to remain a valuable, costly lobbyist.

Pissed off? Good, now do something about it.
