Ken's Bio
"The show is no more edgy than any other exhibit of erotic art — almost tame, in fact, by big-city standards." - New Bedford Standard Times Editorial Board in a column titled; "X Hits The Spot" 2/14/08. The column refers to an art exhibit in downtown New Bedford at The Genital X..err, Gallery X, which has now on display, "Sex at The X", an exhibit of exclusively sexual content.
However, according to AHA (Art, History & Architecture) director Lee Heald who spoke to me and Richard Cardoza during a WBSM commercial break, the exhibit is "sexually and intensely graphic." Let us not soon forget the sexual predator who raped a six-year old boy just one block away the day before the exhibit opened. Any call to suspend the exhibit? Hmm.
The chronically intolerant of religious and conservatives S-T Op/Ed board has used the new controversy to take offense with the somewhat conservative concerns the fill-in WBSM host Mr. Palama had with the content of the exhibit. No surprise. The panel has always been supportive of deviants and exhibitionists. The paper is badgering those who air concern and in an immature taunt, using the example of the alleged reaction of the public's curiosity to warn against speaking out against opportunistic smut or anything of the sort. Simplistic and predictable, the board ..bores.
Look it is no big deal if an art gallery displays sexual content. The X covers many topics and sex is in our culture last I checked so it should not shock or outrage people when a display is on the floor. Gallery X certainly doesn't obsess over sexual content. What should concern folks is access children may have to the exhibit and the sophomoric reaction by the local newspaper's editorial panel which is allegedly diverse, intelligent and connected to the Southcoast. Considering all of the salivating, apparently X hits the S-T's G spot.
As far as the talent of the art, well it is low grade, small town crap. Painted sculpted or thrown together by a group of starving artists who should expect no meals anytime soon.
Meant to offend the sane and far from erotic. Immature, gray haired children at play and applauded by slappers.
Here is basically what is there:
* Giant sized male genitals with birds roosting on it is one 'genius' piece of art.
* A charcoal of a woman's vagina titled: "C-nt" is also available for $80.
* Some driftwood that slightly or arguably resembles genitalia is present
* A nude man peeing some kind of radio-active flourescent fluid on another nude man.
* Christian children blindfolded in an antagonistic message.
* A beheaded nude man bent down between the legs of a nude woman offering her his "head".
* A photo of a nude man laying on a bed with a superimposed 7 foot erected penis in a suggestive location.
Just more examples of what progressives mean to progress, sigh. Please note that while U.S. Marines are being asked to leave town from like-minded liberals
in Berkeley, CA the praise of liberals behind an Op/Ed board demonstrate what they would view as courage, that of course being the courage to offend. I can almost hear the tee-hee giggling.

Puzzled, or Dwight as he is known, has already checked in and the little queen had some wise cracks for me but since he doesn't have the cocktail onions to say anything to my face it will not be printed here.
