Since the 1979 Iranian revolution, radical Islam has focused its rage on the United States often changing the rationale to justify the intense and bottomless hatred for us.
 The face of the "Great Satan" has belonged to Presidents James Carter, Ronald Reagan, Bush 41, Bill Clinton and now, of course, George W. Bush.
 Our support of Israel, our need for oil, our secular ways (or at least non Muslim ways), our support of the Shah of Iran, the sanctions against the former Iraqi regime have all been used
to justify the hatred toward the west and in particular, towards America. From the time 282 US Marines were killed by a suicide bomber in 1982, Islamic terrorism has found its renaissance.
The Mujahadeen with the likes of Osama bin Laden defeating the Soviet Union in Afghanistan seemed to be the catalyst for a movement to once again impose Islam onto the West.

The last such move by Islam ended outside of the gates of Vienna, Austria with the Europeans winning soundly. The date of the decisive battle defeating The Ottoman Islamics was September 11, 1683.
In the last quarter of the twentieth century, for whatever reasons, the American's reaction to being targeted were usually ones that favored  and motivated the plotters. President Reagan abandoning Lebanon after the Marine base bombing was a startling victory for Hezbollah and openly celebrated in Tehran, Iran. Clinton also retreated from Islamic aggression this time in Somalia following the Mogadishu, Somalia ambush of US Special Forces in October 1993 (18 dead 80 wounded).
When dead and dying American servicemen were dragged through the streets by insurgents of an al Qa'eda ally, Somali Warlord Farah Aidid, it greatly boosted morale once again for Islamo-fascist terror groups. Many US Special Forces retired since have written about this and still speak on air with their disgust of the retreat.

 Osama bin Laden once wrote about this event, "Resistance started against the
American invasion, because Muslims did not believe the U.S. allegations that they came to save the Somalis. With Allah's grace, Muslims in Somalia cooperated with some
Arab holy warriors who were in Afghanistan. Together they killed large numbers of American occupation troops." He exulted in the fact that the United States withdrew its troops from the country,
 pointing to the withdrawal as an example of the “weakness, frailty and cowardice of the U.S. troops.”
 

Osama felt it was Allah's will that he and his followers push America from any Islamic state, especially the "holiest of the lands", that being Saudi Arabia. He began formulating many terrorist attacks around the globe. The Modus Operandi of the Americans following the attacks inspired him. Most notably;

1) February 26, 1993- World Trade Center New York City. 6 dead 1,042 injured. A 1500 pound nitrate-fuel type explosive device was delivered into the garage of the WTC with the design to knock the North tower into the South one killing some 250,000 and then a cyanide gas cloud would be released an hour later to murder the rescuers and survivors. Fortunately the execution of the plot ended up with a less devastating blast than the terrorists had hoped for (due to a series of errors).
The blind Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman was later indicted and his ties to bin Laden became clearer several years later. The two terrorists who made and delivered the bomb escaped via The JFK Airport and went to Karachi, Pakistan and then to Baghdad, Iraq. One being Ramzi Yousef, who was later captured when a terrorist attack in Manila, Philippines had some complications (he set his apartment on fire experimenting with explosive chemicals) causing him to flee and in a haste that in part, allowed authorities to follow him to Pakistan. It also helped authorities that his partner, Abdul Hakim Murad was caught fleeing the burning apartment after returning to retrieve the Toshiba laptop with all Yousef's plots and plans. Philipino authorities interogated Murad for over a month using water tabling torture, putting cigarettes out in his ears and on his genitals. As cruel as it sounds, it likely saved thousands of lives when one considers the Bojinka Plot. Murad eventually broke and told authorites everything he knew. Today Ramzi Yousef is in a US Federal prison. Not many realize that Yousef is the nephew of Khalid Sheik Mohammed, the 9/11 plot mastermind.
 Ramzi Yousef entered the US using an Iraqi visa.
 His accomplice in the 1993 WTC bombing, Abdul Rahman Yasin, was the bomb making expert. Since his flight from NYC he was living on an Iraqi government monthly stipend as a resident in Baghdad according to ABC News and he disappeared following the 2003 American led invasion of Iraq. He is still on the FBI's Most Wanted List.


2) June 25 1996- Khobar Towers, Saudi Arabia. An eight story housing complex used by United Nations security forces was bombed by a Hezbollah terrorist cell in conjunction with al Qa'eda. This is an alliance which goes fairly unnoticed and too many  Americans are not aware of this fact nor of the significance. A collaboration between al Qa'eda and Hezbollah would mean involvement with the Iranian government. According to the 911 Commission, Osama bin Laden was congratulated on the day of the bombing. Those indicted in the plot are all confirmed Hezbollah. Ahmed Ibrahim al Mughassil, Abdelkarim Hussein Mohamed Al-Nasser, and 11 other Saudis.

3) August 7, 1998- US Embassies in East Africa. 212 killed and over 4,000 wounded. Simultaneous bombings at the Nairobi, Kenya US Embassy and the Dar es Salaam, Tanzania US Embassy by al Qa'eda. Again this was viewed as a law enforcement issue in the Clinton Administration. The one difference here though was a cruise missile attack on Sudan and Afghanistan which the President decided to announce before the fact. Twenty days after the bombings, Uday Hussein (son of Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein) praised Osama Bin Laden as "an Arab and Islamic hero."
 Later, Richard A. Clarke, a top Clinton administration counter-terrorism official, asserted that Saddam Hussein may have offered bin Laden asylum after the embassy bombings. (911 Commission Report)

4) October 12, 2000 - Suicide bombing of the USS Cole, a guided missile frigate refueling in the Yemeni port of Aden. 17 dead and 39 wounded US sailors. Too few Americans are aware that the bombing mastermind, Abu Ari- al Harithi and an American citizen, Ahmed Hijazi were killed by the CIA together. The 911 Commission report is on record stating that bin Laden complained when the USA didn't attack. He then had to plan "something bigger". * Chapter 6  in the 911 Commission Report.

Instead of letting the liberals dictate how best to fight the Islamic terrorists let's tell them to do what they do best and let others do the heavy lifting.
Instead of liberals suggesting that we suppress the images of September 11, let's not. For reasons that are apparently beyond the liberals, we cannot forget this ever. Instead, we must use it as a rallying cry as we did for the Alamo and Pearl Harbor. Until Osama bin Laden's corpse or submissive shackled person has been displayed and until the Madrassas and Mosques around the globe denounce Islamic terrorism, the war is alive and well and we better damn well remember. 

The concern liberals have that we are "causing terrorism" by fighting back, and of course winning, is bogus. Constant plotting of American mass murders is angry enough, ya think? Naive and ignorant politicians who venture into the Middle East looking to be the next Carter are doing so in vain and putting people in peril. Speaker of The House Nancy Pelosi went to Syria apparently for a diplomatic mission, at the dismay of the State Department. Not only did she accomplish less than she does in Washington, she bended to the Sharia laws there and wore a scarf over her head while in public. In her ignorance she set Syrian women fighting for equality back decades by encouraging the cleric guided terrorist state to continue to repress feminine rights. Way to go Nancy. There are brave women who are willing to go to prison and face beatings, and often do, to combat the ultra-conservative Muslim men who bully them as seecond class citizens. What a fine example an American Feminist has set for them.


The city which listens to my show, New Bedford, Massachusetts, has two chapters for which I am ashamed. One is the 2003 anti-war protest locally organized in part by 2007 New Bedford School Committee candidate Marlene Pollack, a Bristol Community College teacher and Leftist activist. The efforts by Mrs. Ginsberg Pollack didn't go under the radar of Saddam Hussein who ordered the protests in New Bedford to be printed in the newspapers in Iraq. Ms. Pollack's organization has a dubious history, praising the contributions it gave to the ant-war effort during Vietnam, even to the point of hailing the fact that they contributed to the GIs "fragging" US military officers! Happy to have helped convince enlisted men to kill superior officers in the United States military. We have a Coalition of Social justice/ Coalition Against Poverty PDF file to prove it.

The other episode, equally as embarrassing, was the unprofessional accusations of the New Bedford Standard Times Newspaper regarding "The Little Red Book". This nationally regarded disgrace resulted from a reporter, Aaron Nicodemus, an otherwise good reporter who was allowed by his editor Bob Unger to state in a story that the newspaper had factually verified that the Bush Administration had gone Orwellian on us all. An (to this day) anonymous student at University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth claimed that he took a Mao Zedong book out of the college library and was soon after brought in for questioning by "Department of Homeland Security Agents". Not only do no such agents exist, the entire story ended up being just a Bush bashing scandal that some liberals don't admit to today! The alleged student's professor, Pontbriand, who assisted in the story has left some hints to his liberal ideology shortly before this story broke while discussing the Bush Administration etc. Check out the wizbang liberal professor Gary Leupp from Tufts University, who in his blog made a correction to a lesser aspect of the article well after the event was known to be a hoax but doesn't also mention once that it was all a lie!

No one in their right mind prefers war. Most of us should agree that the Bush administration emphasized the wrong reason for the Iraq invasion but in the end, we are facing an enemy we would face either in Baghdad, Bagram or Boston. There are millions of radical Muslims who see today as the day to bring about Islamic prophecy to convert or slaughter the infidels throughout the Earth . Why we need to constantly remind anyone after September 11, 2001 is beyond me but we have to be as patient, unwavering and persistent as our enemy is. Let the liberal nuts berate and chastise Ken Pittman or anyone who reminds those under the unexplainable spell. That is a small consequence compared to all of us forgetting 9/11.  God bless America.
