As an illegal alien is arraigned on charges of rape after he was released onto the streets of New Bedford after posting bail for an alleged machete attack on his estranged wife. His accomplice friends, probably all illegal aliens as well, are free and out on our streets to commit more violent crimes. We will be reminded not to judge, and told that these men have every right to be here. We will be promulgated by the local media and elected to abandon the rule of law and respect the 'deserving undocumented resident's rights'.
Meet Douglas A. Lopez. Doug is a resident of 587 South 2nd St in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Now Dougie..Should we call him Dougie? Let's call him Dougie. I was not aware that "Douglas" was a name found among our hispanic friends. I was thinking Douglas was a fitting name since, like Douglas A. MacArthur, many illegal aliens "shall return". Well this particular Dougie is just another poor undocumented worker looking to improve life for him and his family. Well OK, his estranged family. Estranged but don't rush to judgment because of a little cultural misunderstanding by the intolerant American justice system. You see back in February of this year, it seems Dougie went over to his wife's new address (after she made an undocumented departure from his company) and, as may be the custom in some parts of El Salvador, he put a machete to his wife’s throat and demanded that she accompany him out of the apartment.
Fast forward to the Bristol 3rd District Court in New Bedford where Judge Turcotte presided over the arraignment and allowed Dougie to be freed on a bargain basement bail setting. (John McCain would have been proud of his honor.) Hey, don't judge the judge since he probably dodged a 2 AM phone call from our undocumented submarine captain senator Kennedy or Deval Patrick or both. I'm sure the black armbands are on Corinne Williams and Helena Marques this week as they try to justify the rightful presence of Dougie and his entitlements to constitutional protections as he pursues the American Dream here in New Bedford.
This week Dougie tried one of his machismo (possibly quite natural in his native setting so don't judge) courting rituals on an unwilling participant in New Bedford. It seems Dougie and some friends (other likely illegal aliens) are alleged to have forced a woman into a pickup truck and then repeatedly raped her. They tore her clothes off, beat her and threatened to kill her if she didn't concede and allow them to have sex. Remember, this is a guy who Raimundo Delgado insists we should have let into our home and provide he and all undocumented residents free quarters. Don't hold your breath looking for elected officials her to protect you from his friends who are still out there. They are doing everything they can to encourage more Dougies to come to Massachusetts and pursuit their American dream.. legally or not.
