Is this man Barack Hussein Obama a wise man with sound judgement?

It's difficult to get people around here in New Bedford, Massachusetts to get past the smile and style of the candidate Barack Obama. I readily concede that he is a great candidate at a glance. However, doesn't the fact that he is running for President of The United States require a more in-depth look at his past and his associations? Whether speaking to family and friends or discussing this on the Ken Pittman Show on WBSM, I've learned that most people are in some sort of trance when it comes to this character from Chicago.

There is a proverb that stands the test of time; A man is known by the company he keeps.

1) Reverend Wright - Senator Obama claims to have converted to Christianity from his Muslim upbringing and that he sat in The Trinity United Church of Christ and listened to Rev. Jeremiah Wright preach for twenty years and "never knew" Trinity church was a radical, racist and quite unapologetic anti-American church. Are we to believe that Senator Obama had no clue what his family was being subjected to each and every Sunday?

2) William Ayers - Ayers is someone Obama claims to barely know. Ayers who bombed the Pentagon and who's wife tried to murder a judge's family including a nine year old boy. Ayers who stated, "Kill the rich. Eat your parents". Ayers a fugitive for ten years who walked away from a court trial based on a wiretap technicality. Ayers who secured a $50M Annenburg Foundation Grant for education which Obama was placed in charge of dispersing funds throughout Chicago to "radicalize the public school students". Ayers who held a fundraiser for Obama in his home where both attended. Ayers who Obama said last week: "I knew about his past but I assumed he had repented." Ayers who said on 9/11/01 in the NYT, "I don't think we went far enough (regarding the terrorist campaign against the US government)".

3) Raila Odinga - Odinga who told the BBC that Barack Obama is his cousin. Odinga who ran for Kenyan president in 2006 and who lost by nearly 250K votes and then declared the election a fraud. Odinga had made promises to the Muslim citizens that Kenya would live under Islamic laws. After losing in the election, Odinga Called for demonstrations and incited violence. Odinga's followers in the Luo tribe (Muslims) then murdered Christian villagers in one case (CNN) rounded up 100 women and children and burnt them alive in a church, burnt 800 churches and displaced 500,000 Kikuyu citizens. Senator Obama campaigned for Odinga in 2006 on a "fact finding mission" which was paid for by US taxpayers.

4) Tony Rezko - Indicted and convicted of 16 charges of bribery and fraud. Obama represented Rezko's company (Rezmar) and helped Rezko secure $43M in government funding. Obama purchased a new home in the Kenwood District of Chicago for $1.7M (which was $300K below the asking price but represented the highest offer on the property) on the same day that Rezko's wife, Rita Rezko, purchased the adjoining empty lot from the same sellers for the full asking price. Obama acknowledged bringing his interest in the property to Rezko's attention, but denied any coordination of offers. On December 28, 2006, Ms. Rezko sold the property to a company owned by her husband's former business attorney. That sale of $575,000, combined with the earlier $104,500 sale to the Obamas, amounted to a net profit of $54,500 over her original purchase, less $14,000 for a fence along the property line and other expenses. In October 2007, the new owners put the still vacant land up for sale again, this time for $1.5 million.

In June 2007, the Sun-Times published a story about letters Obama had written in 1997 to city and state officials in support of a low-income senior citizen development project headed by Rezko and partner Allison Davis (Obama's former law partner). The project received more than $14 million in taxpayer funds, including $885,000 in development fees for Rezko and Davis.

*Rezko's sentencing has been postponed until after the November 4 elections. He is cooperating with federal prosecutors. Chicago rumors have included Obama's name.

Geeze ken you are right. If Barack HUSSEIN Osama gets in he will sign an exeucitve order officially damning America, bomb the pentagon with Ayers, sell the White House Rose Garden to Rezco, and eat all the Christian babies with O'Dingo from The Dark Continent! Here are some things to consider... Pause a moment, reflect back. These events are actual events from history. They really happened!!!! Do you remember? 1. 1968 Bobby Kennedy was shot and killed by a Muslim male extremist. 2. In 1972 at the Munich Olympics, athletes were kidnapped and massacred by Muslim male extremists. 3. In 1979, the US embassy in Iran was taken over by Muslim male extremists. 4. During the 1980's a number of Americans were kidnapped in Lebanon by Muslim male extremists. 5. In 1983, the US Marine barracks in Beirut was blown up by Muslim male extremists. 6. In 1985 the cruise ship Achille Lauro was hijacked and a 70 year old American passenger was murdered and thrown overboard in his wheelchair by Muslim male extremists. 7. In 1985 TWA flight 847 was hijacked at Athens , and a US Navy diver trying to rescue passengers was murdered by Muslim male extremists. (remember the pilot of this flight was from Richmond , MO) 8. In 1988 , Pan Am Flight 103 was bombed by Muslim male extremists. 9. In 1993 the World Trade Center was bombed the first time by Muslim male extremists. 10. In 1998, the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by Muslim male extremists. 11. On 9/11/01, four airliners were hijacked; two were used as missiles to take down the World Trade Centers and of the remaining two, one crashed into the US Pentagon and the other was diverted and crashed by the passengers. Thousands of people were killed by Muslim male extremists. 12. In 2002 the United States fought a war in Afghanistan against Muslim male extremists. 13. In 2002 reporter Daniel Pearl was kidnapped and murdered by-- you guessed it-- Muslim male extremists. No, I really don't see a pattern here to justify profiling, do you? So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport security screeners will no longer be allowed to profile certain people... Absolutely No Profiling! They must conduct random searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline pilots with proper identification, secret agents who are members of the President's security detail, 85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of Honor winner and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave Muslim Males alone lest they be guilty of profiling. According to The Book of Revelation: The Anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40's, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal....the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, he will destroy everything. And Now: For the award winning Act of Stupidity Of all times the People of America want to elect, to the most Powerful position on the face of the Planet -- The Presidency of the United states of America . A Male of Muslim descent who is the most extremely liberal Senator in Congress (in other words an extremist) and in his 40's. Have the American People completely lost their Minds, or just their Power of Reason ??? I'm sorry but I refuse to take a chance on the 'unknown' candidate Obama... Let's send this to as many people as we can so that the Gloria Aldreds and other stupid attorneys along with Federal Justices that want to thwart common sense, feel ashamed of themselves -- if they have any such sense. When you speak of William Ayers in more recent times I remembers the Bill Ayers of the 60's terrorist group who founded, "The Weathermen" vowing to bring down our system of government at any cost, and in Boston, so he did. His followers ransacked a National Guard Armory, stole weapons, M-16's, fully automatic machine guns and murdered a Boston Policeman in the course of robbing a Boston bank. Police Officer, Walter Schroeder died that day as did a piece of every officer and their family members, but apparently memories are short. My own father will not come to terms with Obama's relationship with Bill Ayers and his own fellow officer's murder with whom he actually worked with at Station 14 in Boston at the time of the bank robbery. Seems there is something more important in life than honoring one's fallen fellow officer, "the promise of being taken care of" which Obama has offered the elderly which somehow trumps forgiving the unforgivable. To every Boston citizen, and that of every metropolitan area who find themselves in the midst of crime and need, ask yourselves if any promise has brought you closer to being free of the mess created by poverty. Are you willing to support a man who takes direction from so many who are on the dark side of the bridge and who have seen to ignore the words and accomplishment of the great Martin Luther King? There are no such things as free give-aways unless we are speaking of words, rhetoric.

Wow, thanks for that brilliant insight, John! So now the latest "reasonable" argument from conservatives appears to be that Americans should not vote for Obama because he's "the Antichrist", according to some boneheaded local yokel's interpretation of the 2,000 year old writings of a lunatic? That should buy you as many votes as "Kill him!" "Terrorist!" "Off with his head!" You Obamaphobes are certifiably insane; It's really no wonder McCasket is polling behind even in red states. Your political party is a wreck and its insipid 'warriors', like Sarah Palin and Jeff Beatty, are destined to become nothing but humorous footnotes in the history books. I’ve... been disappointed, frankly, by some of the approaches that Senator McCain has taken recently, or his campaign ads, on issues that are not really central to the problems that the American people are worried about. This Bill Ayers situation that’s been going on for weeks became something of a central point of the campaign. But Mr. McCain says that he’s a washed-out terrorist. ... And why do we have these robo-calls going on around the country, trying to suggest that, because of this very, very limited relationship that Senator Obama has had with Mr. Ayers, somehow, Mr. Obama is tainted? What they’re trying to connect him to is some kind of terrorist feelings. And I think that’s inappropriate. Now, I understand what politics is all about. I know how you can go after one another, and that’s good. But I think this goes too far. And I think it has made the McCain campaign look a little narrow. It’s not what the American people are looking for. And I look at these kinds of approaches to the campaign, and they trouble me.

Looks like the GOP is pressing to find anything. My old party has become an old shell of itself. It's sad. Obama could be diggin up all the terrorists that McCain has "palled around with" but he is a class act and will not do so. A newsletter from 1984 provides more embarrassing evidence of John McCain's relationship with the U.S. Council on World Freedom, a group that was involved in funding militant anti-communists and espoused some anti-Semitic views. McCain's face graces the front page of the group's "World Freedom Report," published on Dec. 15, 1984, a copy of which was obtained from the research library at the University of Kansas. The front page also features a reprint of an article McCain penned that same month for Reader's Digest. In the early 1980s, McCain served on the advisory board of the Council on World Freedom, which funded and provided arms to what the Associated Press described as "ultra-right-wing death squads in Central America." The group also "aided rebels trying to overthrow the leftist government of Nicaragua," which landed it "in the middle of the Iran-Contra affair and in legal trouble with the Internal Revenue Service, which revoked the charitable organization's tax exemption." When McCain's connection to the council received its first blast of press attention earlier this month, his campaign told Politico that McCain "disassociated himself" from the group in 1984 "when questions were raised about its activities." But the group's tax filing in 1985, covering the previous year, lists McCain as a member of the advisory board. And in October 1985, a States News Service report placed McCain "at a Washington awards ceremony staged by the council." Moreover, in 1986, McCain himself told the Phoenix New Times that his reason for leaving the group merely had to do with a lack of time. Asked by the AP this year about McCain's alleged efforts to distance himself from the council in both 1984 and 1986 (when McCain had to ask to have his name removed from the group's stationary), founder John Singlaub said: "That's a surprise to me. ... I don't ever remember hearing about his resigning." Though the group's founder also said it was possible that McCain had asked to resign and he hadn't heard about the "housekeeping" details, the Council's unearthed newsletter from late 1984 would seem to support Singlaub's -- and not McCain's -- memory of the events.
