Ken Pittman is the afternoon voice for Greater New Bedford's WBSM 1420.
From 2PM thru 6PM M-F..
Ken's Bio
"A woman's right to choose..." When I hit spell check, my software tells me that the sentence is incomplete. Therefore, the thought is incomplete yet pro-abortionists such as Senator Obama have been using it as long as the issue has been the issue. A woman's right to choose..to...to what? To end the life of the child which lives within them as a result of the activities of the woman (except for the 1 in 100,000 case of rape).
Senator Obama seems to think America sides with him and women even more so and since his information is telling him that Sarah Palin's presense in the race has caused a shift in the women vote, he is attempting to resolve the shift by calling attention to the pro-life ticket the Republicans are offering in McCain/Palin. the Obama campaign is ad blitzing seven battleground states by calling attention to the difference in abortion.
This may backfire for Obama since McCain can now point to Obama's voting record which includes "live-birth infanticide". Senator McCain and his wife Cindy on the other hand, adopted an abandoned baby and his vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin gave birth to her fifth child who was diagnosed with having Down Syndrome in her fourth month of gestation. One side is proudly pro abortion and the other clearly pro- life. The question to ask though, is where are Americans on this issue?
Senator Barack Obama supports abortion in the 1st trimester:

53% of Americans are supportive of 1st trimester abortions
Senator Barack Obama supports abortion in the 2nd trimester:

48% of Americans are supportive of 2nd trimester abortion
Senator Barack Obama supports abortion in the 3rd trimester (including partial birth abortion):

23% of Americans are supportive of 3rd trimester abortion
Senator Barack Obama, as a state senator in Illinois, also supported "live baby infanticide", and voted to deny Constitutional rights to live babies who survived botched abortion attempts. Below is a photo of an actual baby before being brought into a room with dirty linens and left to die. An outraged nurse secretly took the photo and another eventually testified against the practice to the Illinois State Senate, and to Barack Obama:

Less than 1/2 of 1% of Americans are supportive of infanticide for so called botched abortions.
Obama the question is this: Can Republicans take the moral high ground on this issue? Yes we can.
The hollow talking point by pro-abortionists that the goal is "to preserve a woman's right to abort their fetus" but to keep the right "rare".
Can anyone else tell me about any other civil right that we "all" want to see less of?
Even in Massachusetts there are limits to what is right and wrong. Sometimes, even in New Bedford.
So bring it on Obama, and learn the hard way that your agenda, when exposed is too far to the left of where America is.

I must say those pictures are graphic. "Whatever it takes to educate the American Citizen Voter, is what needs doing. It truly IS time for American Voters to awaken to the call. For far too long we have sat by watching our rights dissipate. especially here in mAssachusetts. It is beyond time the Obama's, the Kennedy's, The Kerry's, the Biden's, the Patrick's, the DiMasi's and yes even the Pelosi's of this democratic party pay attention to the "Will of the People". They are sworn to Protect and Serve. Graphic as the pictures are, I will admit it takes such to generate the attention necessary to awaken Public interest to the needs of our weakest and least capable of defending themselves. In our great nation, who stands for the unborn? Who stands for the weak and defenseless? Certainly not the "master tele-prompter, manipulator of truths" Barak Hussein Obama. Ken calls for the awakening of the American Voter. I call for the replacement of any and all incumbents who demonstrate a presumptive attitude, ignore the demands of the American Citizen Voters and believe they may continue to do so, unimpeded. It's time to wake them up, shake them up and if necessary, boot them out! As always, "Great Job Ken".

I believe this ugly proceedure will surface again as an issue in this election for purely principled reasons if not for the fact that we now have a principled conservative woman on our ticket who doesn't just talk the talk. She walks the walk! These pictures are graphic for a reason. This is evil, plain and simple. God help us. If we don't make a stink about this, we're just as guilty.

Please present, in detail, your plan for creating a new federal legal regime to enforce a national prohibition on abortion. Since you so graciously propose a single "exemption" for victims of rape, how would the government determine if a woman actually was raped, and is not just making it up to get around the law? Would it first be necessary to convict the alleged rapist? What if said conviction does not occur until the 9th month of the pregnancy? Beyond that, what about a 50 year old woman who was not raped but had no intention of becoming pregnant...she was using birth control, but it failed? Her doctor warns her that given her age her life may be at risk if she delivers. And for that matter, what about ANY woman of any age who becomes pregnant and may not be physically able to carry through delivery? And who would make the ultimate decisions - judges, a religious tribunal, politicians, AM radio hosts? And what penalty would be applied to those who seek or perform an "illegal" abortion? Prison...how long? Fines.....how much? Should repeat offenders be sterilized by the state or put to death (to teach society how much we value life)? As with the immigration issue, Abortion Prohibitionists are very long on emotions and spouting hysterical cliches, but very short on proposing any realistic or in any other way politically viable plan. Is abortion a wonderful thing? Certainly not. But we live in a society where the preservation of individual liberty is supposedly our highest ideal. Beginning-of-life (and for that matter, end-of life) issues are metaphysical questions, not political ones, best left up to the individual concerned.

In answer to your questions, Americans, including a consistent majority of Roman Catholics, support Roe V Wade and oppose the right wing extremists who seek to overturn it....."In general, do you agree or disagree with the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision that established a woman's right to an abortion?" 63% Agree / 33% disagree / 4% unsure. [Quinnipiac University Poll. July 8-13, 2008. N=1,783 registered voters nationwide. MoE ± 2.3.] ...... "Would you like to see the Supreme Court overturn its 1973 Roe versus Wade decision concerning abortion, or not?" 53% Don't overturn R v.W / 35% Overturn R v. W / 12% unsure. [Gallup Poll. May 10-13, 2007. N=1,003 adults nationwide. MoE ± 3.] .... "Would you like to see the Supreme Court overturn its 1973 Roe versus Wade decision concerning abortion, or not?" 29% Would / 62% Would NOT / 9% Unsure. [CNN/Opinion Research Corporation Poll. Jan. 19-21, 2007. N=1,008 adults nationwide. MoE ± 3.]

Catholic: A baptised Christian who is in full communion (agreement) with the Bishop of Rome (Pope).
Any "Catholic" who applauds the ability to murder a baby in the womb is, by definition, not Catholic. With that out of the way, let's agree that there are a ton of "Jesus Lite" Catholics who do whatever they want to and turn a deaf ear to church law. I did examine the poll and again, the majority of Americans are much more supportive of legal abortion for first term, not late. I imagine if we provided a venue for all Americans to view the images I provided here, the sentiment would sway in pro-life favor.

I think the idea is to illegalize the intentional and brutal end of human life at his or her most vulnerable point, is what a wise and just nation would want to do. As for the 50 year old woman's scenario, why is one person's life of more value than another's? The callous endearment of murder may sit well with you NARAL racist types but so many of us do care for the lives of our countrymen who have been stripped of the Constitutional right to life. Be careful that your group (which ever it may be) isn't next in the "exemption".

Obama doesnt support live or third trimester abortions. Its a lie. It was illegal in Illinois and he said the bill wasn't necessary. If a bill to ban homicide was voted down by Montigny does that mean he supports murder or just opposed that bill? Lie.

Mr. Sands, Obama has PROMISED a reversal of all abortion restrictions, third trimester included. Obama is ON RECORD voting against any protections for abortion survivors. 98 of 98 US Senators disagreed with Obama on this showing just how far radically left he actually is. Why can you not offer anything but contrarian crap to contribute? I can see how we disagree but you are obsessed with being 180 just for the sake of it. Kind of twisted..once again.

The reason your NRO friends mention the Federal bill is to confuse the issue. Worldnet columnist Stanek is the nurse who made accusations about one Illinois hospital. It was investigated and her accusations were unsubstantiated. Obama was right when he said there was no need for the Illinois bill. That terrain was covered. I dont know if there was need for a Federal bill.

The Pictures being as graphic as they are, are truly aweful and really only tell one side of the story.
Coming from someone who has been in a situation such as RAPE I think that if a woman is RAPED that she should have the choice. Also I still feel it is a woman's choice. Would I have one myself? No but who am I to judge the woman that does have one. I watched the Debate last night and honestly I am not impressed with either McCain (who is the Sen. of my State and just don't like what he has done here) Or Obama. So I will pray when I go to the poll and let a higher power decide. May the best man win.
