Yesterday, the Ogonowski campaign realized a failure to get 10,000 certified signatures to the Secretary of State's office in Boston before 5:oo PM last night. It was almost cruel how close the signature count came. Ogonowski turned in 9,970 votes or 30 shy of the requirement.

Land leasing, environmental battles, dangers to pedestrians, animals and motor vehicles, frost heaves and other track maintenance problems which will skyrocket annual labor costs, no place for the rail to pull into Boston. All of these things which will be a certainty should the rail ever come to Massachusetts' Southcoast but this doesn't effect the decision to bypass a viable solution; the Monorail.
